In Fall of 2002 Maggie set off to see America and to walk the 820 miles of the Cherokee trail of Tears. As it turns out, the trail is a road now and not very amenable to walking. So side trips along the trail were substituted thru national forests, state parks, and other quiet places, and about 760 miles were logged over 10 weeks.
